Faye Is Halfway Here!

What an exciting week!

Thursday, we got to see our sweet baby Faye for my 20 week check-up! All of her stats are perfect and my early glucose test came back great. Adam still has no idea what we're talking about in these appointments when we say "there's baby Faye", but he'll know soon enough when she gets here!

Friday, we had a long list of plans... but Meghan called to ask if Adam and I wanted to visit with her and Madelyn - and of course we did! Before that though, a local church was having a kid-only consignment sale, so we got lots of summer clothes for Adam (and a few items for Faye) since he didn't have any. We made our way to the Sullivan house and spent the rest of the morning loving on them. Adam played outside with the dog and cats, while I caught up with Meghan and loved on Madelyn. I'm so happy we got to because I haven't seen Meghan in forever! They're thinking that Easter will be Madelyn's debut at church since she'll be getting her first set of vaccines earlier that week.

We got home, ate Zaxby's, napped, then got right back on the road for more errands. We went to Staples to pick up Adam's party invitations - and of course, they weren't ready. In fact, they didn't have my order even in the system, even though I had my confirmation number in my email. I had to use their computer to pull up the invitations (which I thankfully saved on their website) and resubmit it. It turned out okay though because I LOVE how they turned out! Here's a sneak peek:

Saturday was another busy day! We went to a local event called Touch-A-Truck where dozens of trucks, tractors, buses, and even a helicopter for children to look at and sit in. It took place close to the train tracks so we also got to see several trains pass. Adam loved all of it!

Rusty even got out his old Hot Wheels to play with Adam and show off different trucks!

Sunday was church, lunch with Memaw's side of the family to celebrate his grandmother's 82nd birthday (a picture of the cake I made for her is below), then Grammy and Grandpa came over to visit for a little while. All of this was fun and great - but since the time changed, Adam was woken up early and never took a nap. By the end of the day, he was not in a good mood.

Monday hit me like a ton of bricks. I went grocery shopping and Rusty got home a little early, which worked out perfectly - because from about 5pm to 9am, I spent my time with my head in a toilet. It was awful! I don't know when I have vomited that much in that short amount of time. I am still sore and weak from it all. I believe I pulled a muscle in my back from it all. I still can't quite eat much because I'm still queasy. Unfortunately, Adam, about 5am the same night, woke up throwing up too. He kept on until about 9am also - so we can be thankful that it didn't last long for him. We've spent the last couple of days laying around and eating little because of how bad we've felt.

Fingers crossed that it stays away from Rusty!

It's Wedding Time!

My brother, James, spent the night this week! He was heading to Tennessee for a bachelor party weekend and needed somewhere to say for the night and we were happy to see him! Adam loved playing with him and running around the house! Plus, my parents and one of my sisters came by to see him, so Adam got to be loved by everyone. Adam's favorite part was pretending to sleep - who knows why...

Saturday, we had the opportunity to get all dressed up for Rusty's cousin's wedding. It was wonderful! The location was right in the middle of Midtown on the 28th floor with the ceremony taking place on a deck with the sunset in the background. It was beautiful! The food was delicious and the dancing was great! Adam had a great time! He looked extremely handsome in his suit, just like his daddy, and got to see all of his Memaw's side of the family! Plus, he called Rusty's Grandmother "GG" by name and you could see her heart soar!

Sunday, because we got home from the wedding late, we were going to have a stay-at-home morning, instead of church, but Rusty was asked to meet with our pastor for lunch about the praise team for lunch, so he went ahead.

This entire week has had INCREDIBLE weather! Really though, if it stayed like this all of the time, it would be paradise! Adam and I have spent every day outside (when we aren't eating or sleeping)! We've been to the park and I've been able to keep our backdoor open, so even when I need to cook or do dishes, Adam and Kirby can run around outside!

Tomorrow, we get to see Faye!

Adam - The Singing Star

We had a pretty quiet week - no complaints here!

Adam told me on Thursday that he wanted to "sleep like Kirby" (well he said "Churby", but you know what he means... so I told him sure! He laid down on the floor and looked so cute!

Upon posted this pic on FB, my dad posted one from about six months ago - Adam has grown so much!!

Before and after church, Adam always asks if he can get on the stage, which I always tell him no since it's normally being used. This Sunday, since I was the one taking down the stage decorations, I told him sure. Keith proceeds to give him a microphone and you would've thought that he was performing a full-house concert. He paced the stage and looked out at the crowd. It was hilarious! Everyone was loving it!

Well, it looks like this week starts the beginning of at least a week of beautiful spring weather! We've spent tons of time at the park and outside at our house! Yesterday, Adam played at the park's playground, we walked the one mile trail, looked through the gate at the dog park - and Adam asked to play AGAIN at the playground! I was exhausted, but we had plenty of time, so we did it all. I'd say I got my exercise in!
